The Pacific Information and Communication Technology for Development Collaborative (PICTDC) promotes the study of innovative scholarly and applied research and programs on the social and economic implications of information and communications technology in the Pacific region, emphasizing the potential uses of technology for social good, promotion of digital inclusiveness, sustainably improving the quality of life, and empowering public discourse on good governance.
Organizational Structure: PICTDC is housed in the College of Social Sciences (CSS) at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa (UHM).
The University of Hawaiʻi at Manoa, known for its Asia/Pacific expertise, is a Carnegie classified Research 1 university and a member of the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU), an association of premier research universities around the Pacific Rim.
